A New Zealand holiday Experience

New Zealand's 240 HAPNZ parks offer a broad range of accommodation and facilities, all at fair prices - over 4000 accommodation units and more than 10 000 beds / sites every night of the year. Many HAPNZ members offer Motels or Tourist Flats at a standard comparable with Motel accommodation. Communal kitchen facilities and linen and blanket hire are common features. Some have fully equipped Lodges and conference facilities, easily catering for special groups - touring, sports schools etc.

One of the prime reasons holiday makers return over and over to HAPNZ parks is their location. They are sited throughout the country in New Zealands most scenic locations, at our best beaches, near lakes, national parks, or conveniently situated in towns or cities. Native birds, bush and wonderful scenery offer those away from home a break which refreshes the spirit as well as the body.

Availability

Holiday Parks are open all year round, generally from early morning to late in the evening. Reservations should be made for accommodation during the peak summer season and at weekends.

A Holiday for Everyone

HAPNZ parks cater for whole families. While parents may simply want to enjoy the tranquility and beauty, there are more active options available for younger family members. Many parks now have well equipped childrens play areas, heated swimming pools, barbeques, games rooms with pool tables or table tennis tables, and boats, canoes or bicycles for hire as well as TV lounges, and of course plenty of space to play informal out door games. Children of all ages can find plenty to do all day in a secure, friendly environment.

Meet New Friends

HAPNZ holiday parks offer holiday goers unparalleled opportunities to make new friends in a relaxed environment. While the decision to spend time with others is up to each guest, many visitors have made such good friendships on their holiday that they return year after year to meet up again. Many visitors from overseas have also expressed their enjoyment of the camaraderie and community they have experienced at HAPNZ parks.

RANGE OF ACCOMMODATION

A major strength of HAPNZ Holiday accommodation parks is the range of accommodation they offer.

Tent Sites

Those wanting to camp out can select tent sites in beautiful outdoor spots. Tenters equiped with a cable and Residual Current Device may plug into 240 volt power sites for added comfort. All tenters have free access to kitchens, toilet and shower facilities as well as dining and TV lounges.

Camper vans and Caravans

Holiday makers will always find a selection of powered sites available close to communal kitchen and toilet and shower facilities.

Accommodation Units

Most HAPNZ members have a range of Cabins, Backpacker Lodges or Tourist Flats available. Many have Motels.

• Cabins

  
  

  Of varying size and appointment with beds or bunks equipped with mattresses and pillows, table and chairs, light and heater. Guests use communal showers, toilets and cooking facilities. Sheets and blankets are NOT provided but may be available for hire.

  
  

• Lodges

  
  

  Backpacker accommodation suitable for groups or individuals, usually fully equipped with community kitchen, dining room and other facilities. Sleeping usually in bunks, 2-6 per room, some with en-suites. Mattresses and pillows are supplied but not sheets and blankets which are usually for hire.

  
  
  

• Tourist Cabins

  
  

  These have hot and cold water and include cooking facilities and equipment. Sheets and blankets are available for hire. Some may have refrigerators and radios. Guests use communal showers and toilets.

  
  

• En-Suite Cabins

  
  

  These are at least Tourist Cabin standard but will include private shower and toilet. Guests use communal cooking facilities. Some have provision for tea making. Sheets and blankets are available for hire.

  Tourist Flats

  
  

  Fully self contained units with TV, kitchen including refrigerator, and bathroom, usually with a shower. Generally there are one or two separate bedrooms. Sheets, blankets and towels are available for hire.

  
  

• Motels

  
  

  Either a self contained unit with kitchen and bathroom or a similar unit with tea making facilities only. Full bedding and towels included. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplied on arrival. Some may be serviced daily.
